What AI girlfriend apps actually cost in 2026
The single most expensive mistake in this category is not picking the wrong app — it is not reading the renewal line. One provider advertises a $12.99 entry and renews at $25.99 a month.

Only two of the five publish a price at all
Before comparing numbers you have to find them. On 26 October 2026 we opened the public site of five widely-discussed AI companion apps and looked for a pricing page reachable without an account. Candy AI and DreamGF both have one. Nomi, Replika and Kindroid do not — no pricing page, and no pricing link anywhere in their public navigation.
That is not a small detail. It means that for three of the five, the only way to learn the cost is to create an account first, which is exactly the point at which most people stop comparing and simply buy.

The renewal line matters more than the headline
DreamGF's own pricing page sets out three memberships, and in each one the first payment and the recurring charge are different numbers. The three-month membership takes $12.99 up front and then $25.99 a month if you do not cancel. The monthly membership takes $29.97 up front and then $77.97 every three months. The annual takes $69.99 up front and then $311.88 a year.
Those are their figures, written on their own page under a banner offering "up to 75% off on your first subscription". The discount is real; so is the price it reverts to. A reader who sees $12.99 and assumes that is the monthly rate will pay twice that from the second month.
Candy AI is structured more conventionally. The list price is $13.99 a month. A first month is $9.99, three months works out at $8.99 a month, and twelve months at $3.99 a month, which the page marks as best value. The annual rate is a genuine discount rather than an introductory one.
Unlimited chat is not unlimited everything
Candy AI's premium list is explicit: create your own AI girlfriends, generate 18+ images, generate 18+ videos, full Live Action access, unlimited text messages — and 100 tokens per month.
Those two last items sit next to each other for a reason. Text is uncapped; the things that cost real compute are metered. One hundred tokens a month is the actual ceiling on image and video generation, and it is the number to compare between apps, not the word "unlimited".
DreamGF runs the same model and is blunter about it: tokens are purchasable only by premium members, in packs from $2.99 to $179.99. In other words the subscription buys you the right to spend more money.

One operator, several brands
DreamGF's own homepage carries a footer block headed "AI NETWORK" listing eHentai.ai, DreamBF.ai, Candy.AI and JustPorn.ai. By their own published description, two of the apps most often compared against each other in this category belong to the same network.
That is worth knowing before you treat a DreamGF-versus-Candy comparison as a contest between rivals. It also explains why their feature roadmaps move together — both launched a short-form "Shorts" series format, and both now push AI video.
How to price-check one of these in five minutes
The method is dull and it works. Open the provider's pricing page in a private window so no account state is applied. Write down three numbers: the first payment, the recurring payment, and the billing interval of each. If the first two differ, that is the real story.
Then find the credit or token allowance and the cost of a top-up pack. Finally, check whether anything is reachable at all without signing up — a service that will not show you output before taking a card is asking you to buy quality unseen.
